Mountainfilm on Tour – Montrose, CO
Mountainfilm on Tour showcases a selection of culturally rich, adventure-packed and incredibly inspiring documentary films curated from the annual Mountainfilm festival held in Telluride, Colorado.
Two local non-profits, Community Options, Inc (COI). and Uncompahgre Valley Alliance (UVA), are the hosts of the Mountainfilm on Tour program in Montrose. In lieu of a traditional in-person gathering, COI and UVA will be hosting a virtual screening of Mountainfilm on Tour with an inspiring program of films that explore themes connected to Mountainfilm’s mission of using the power of film, art and ideas to inspire audiences to create a better world.
COI and UVA have been hosting Mountainfilm on Tour in Montrose for 15 years. Along with offering an inspiring collection of films, the show is also an opportunity to raise funds that support the missions and programs of our two agencies. COI employees nearly 200 staff and volunteers that support approximately 400 individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities in all aspects of their lives. UVA is a volunteer citizen’s group that advocates for social justice and environmental quality of life in Western Colorado. We see a common mission as promoting diversity, inclusion and and enhanced quality of life in our area of Western Colorado.
TICKETS TO THE SHOW
The virtual program is available beginning at 9 a.m. MT on Friday, February 19 and will be available until 9 a.m. on Sunday, February 21. Tickets for Mountainfilm on Tour – Montrose are free, but donations are encouraged and appreciated, as this is a fundraiser. To see the films selected to play in this program, click here.
